Podcaster Candace Owens released a trailer Monday for her new investigative series 'Bride of Charlie,' targeting Erika Kirk, the widow of slain Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, prompting swift condemnation from fellow conservatives.

The two-minute teaser, shared on X, features news footage of Charlie Kirk's assassination on September 10, 2025, at a Utah Valley University event, clips of Erika Kirk's public appearances and interviews with unnamed critics questioning her leadership as TPUSA CEO. It references 'Zionists' and Israel before closing with an image of Erika Kirk wearing a crown. The first episode premieres on Wednesday on Owens' platform.

Charlie Kirk, 31, was fatally shot during his American Comeback Tour speech in Orem, Utah, by 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who faces aggravated murder charges and the death penalty. A Utah judge is set to rule today on defense efforts to disqualify prosecutors.

Owens, once a friend of Kirk, has questioned the official account since his death, alleging government tampering, possible Israeli involvement, and pressure from figures like billionaire Bill Ackman to shift Kirk's views on Gaza. She leaked audio in late January of Erika Kirk discussing attendance and merchandise sales days after her husband's memorial, calling it 'off-putting.' The women met privately for over four hours in December 2025, but Owens persisted with claims.

Erika Kirk, 37, assumed TPUSA leadership post-assassination and is attending tonight's State of the Union address as a guest of President Trump. Neither she nor TPUSA has commented on the series.

Backlash erupted immediately. Online, users accused Owens of grifting, with one writing, 'If you ever wonder just how far someone will go for money and attention… now you know.' Owens' spokesperson dismissed critics as a 'Zionist bubble' with no influence, saying people are excited for the series.
