Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are returning to the screen in the “Yellowstone” spinoff, Dutton Ranch, with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles. Paramount+ released a teaser trailer and first images showing the couple riding horses, dancing, and facing new challenges in Texas.

According to a press release, Beth and Rip leave Montana behind to start a life together, but collide with brutal realities and a rival ranch intent on protecting its empire. “Blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul,” the statement said.

The series also stars Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Ed Harris. Annette Bening joins as Beulah Jackson, a powerful Texas ranch head, and Finn Little returns as Carter, the young boy under Beth and Rip’s care.

First-look images show Reilly standing in the road at night, Hauser in action scenes, Harris reading a Bible, and Courtney smoking indoors. Some stills suggest Beth may form an alliance with Harris’s character, Everett McKinney.

Hauser and Reilly have previously teased that Taylor Sheridan, creator of the franchise, has plans for the couple’s storyline. Reilly advised fans not to overinterpret rumors, saying the story beyond Yellowstone’s finale is still in discussion.

Dutton Ranch will premiere globally on Paramount+ on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with two episodes, then continue weekly across a nine-episode first season.
