Costco is rolling out a fresh lineup of sweet and savory food items just ahead of Valentine’s Day, according to Food & Wine. The retailer, which typically introduces new products each month, is adding Valentine's Day themed desserts, baked goods, and ready-to-eat meals to its shelves.
New sweet options include Filled Heart Madeleines, heart-shaped sponge cakes filled with raspberry or chocolate-hazelnut, and Matcha & Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, featuring Kyoto Uji matcha and Valrhona chocolate. Each box contains 12 individually wrapped cookies and retails for about $15.
For protein-rich savory selections, Costco is offering Chinese BBQ-Style Beef Short Ribs from Ruprecht’s, made with USDA Choice beef in a char siu–style sauce and providing 12 grams of protein per serving. Meatball Panino Italian-style rolls are also available, stuffed with beef and pork meatballs, marinara, and mozzarella, sold two per pack for roughly $11.
The bakery is featuring a Valentine’s Day version of its Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse Cake, layered with chocolate and white chocolate mousse, brownie pieces, and chocolate panache, with select stores decorating the dessert with the word “love.”
Other new items include Crispy Kimchi Pancakes containing squid and fermented kimchi, and Turkey, Pesto, and Swiss Cheese Pockets, a frozen croissant pocket with 13 grams of protein.
Costco continues to refresh its selection regularly, following last month’s debut of Peanut Butter Monster Cookies in the bakery section.
With these new additions, shoppers have a range of Valentine’s options, from indulgent desserts to convenient, protein-packed meals.
