Latin trap artist Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance on Sunday night received sharp criticism from President Donald Trump, who described the show as “one of the worst ever” in a post on Truth Social. Trump said the performance, which was primarily in Spanish, failed to represent American standards of success, creativity, and excellence, and he criticized the dancing as inappropriate for children.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible… Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World,” Trump wrote. He also called the performance a “slap in the face” to the country and linked it to broader cultural concerns, while criticizing the NFL’s new kickoff rules.

Conservative influencers and public figures echoed Trump’s criticism, noting the language barrier and expressing concerns that the show did not reflect American culture. Some commentators connected the performance to ongoing debates over immigration policy and enforcement, highlighting tensions over ICE actions and border security.
Turning to online viewership, TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet highlighted that the All-American Halftime Show drew significant attention on conservative platforms. “It got up to 6.1 million on TPUSA’s YouTube channel,” he said. “Another nearly 1 million on CK’s YouTube. Plus all Rumble channels and other platform partners who are already reporting monster numbers.”
While the show received favorable coverage from mainstream media outlets, Trump and his supporters framed it as disconnected from “the real world,” citing America’s record stock market and economic achievements.
