A new Fox News poll revealed President Donald Trump maintains a 98% approval rating among self-identified MAGA Republicans. The survey, conducted February 28 to March 2 among 1,004 registered voters, showed stark partisan divides in his job performance ratings.
Overall, 43% of voters approved of Trump's handling of his job as president, while 57% disapproved, figures that held steady from December and January. Among Republicans, approval stood at 87%, but it surged to 98% for those identifying with the MAGA movement and dropped to 63% among non-MAGA Republicans. A similar gap appeared on whether Trump focused on the right issues: 95% of MAGA Republicans said yes, compared to 57% of non-MAGA Republicans.
The poll, carried out by Beacon Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R), used live interviews on landlines and cellphones as well as online after text invitations, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. Weights were applied based on census data, voter analysis, and voter files to ensure representativeness.

Cost of living topped concerns at 50%, followed by government spending at 18% and tariffs at a distant 8%. Majorities reported price increases over the past year in groceries (81%), utilities (79%), healthcare (71%), housing (65%), and gas (51%). Trump trailed underwater on most issues, including cost of living by 35 points (32% approve, 67% disapprove), tariffs by 27 points, and the economy by 23 points.
Approval of Congress reached record lows, with 70% disapproving of congressional Democrats. a high and 64% disapproving of congressional Republicans. Anger toward the federal government hit new peaks, with 32% of voters angry and Democrats more than five times as likely as Republicans to feel that way.
The poll came days after a Supreme Court ruling limiting tariff authority, which 62% said treated Trump fairly, including majorities across parties. Trump received his only net positive rating on border security, at 52% approval.
