Qatar’s Foreign Ministry of Qatar on Tuesday rejected claims by Tucker Carlson that Saudi Arabia and Qatar had arrested Israeli Mossad agents planning bombings in the region.
Spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari said during a briefing that the ministry “does not have any information on this matter at the moment,” according to Doha News. The remarks came amid ongoing coverage of Iranian missile strikes and regional air defense activity.
Carlson made the claim Monday on his show, questioning why Israel would allegedly carry out attacks in Gulf countries also targeted by Iran. He suggested Israeli actions were intended to weaken both Iran and Gulf allies.
Al-Ansari and other Qatari officials emphasized that Tehran’s recent strikes have targeted U.S. interests and civilian infrastructure, including Qatar’s international airport, but Qatar itself has not engaged militarily with Iran. The ministry called for an immediate halt to Iranian attacks and underscored Doha’s commitment to defending its territory if necessary.
Qatar’s top diplomat, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, said the country maintains the right to self-defense while remaining open to diplomacy and dialogue conducted in good faith. The statements clarify Qatar’s position amid heightened tensions following U.S. and Israeli operations against Iran.
