President Trump announced his endorsement of Texas leaders, including Governor Greg Abbott and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, on Truth Social, emphasizing their alignment with his policy priorities and his ongoing influence in state politics.
President Trump said he was “proud to once again endorse” Patrick, calling him “an incredible friend to our Movement” who played a key role in delivering victories during Trump’s presidential campaigns in 2016, 2020, and 2024. He outlined the policies Patrick would advance if reelected, including border security, economic growth, tax and regulatory cuts, school choice, energy production, military support, and protection of Second Amendment rights.
In addition, President Trump gave his “Complete and Total Endorsement” to Abbott, describing him as a strong and respected governor. Trump highlighted his own electoral performance in Texas, noting he received 6.4 million votes in 2024, and credited Abbott’s leadership with advancing a new congressional map that could help Republicans gain five additional seats in the 2026 midterm elections. He also praised Abbott’s record on border enforcement, support for law enforcement and veterans, backing for farmers and ranchers, and efforts to expand energy production and school choice.
President Trump said both leaders have proven they can deliver results for Texans and advance policies that strengthen the state’s economy and security.
