Turning Point Action, the political arm of Turning Point USA, has endorsed Texas State Representative Steve Toth in his bid for the 2nd Congressional District, citing his strong conservative record and leadership in the America First movement as he challenges incumbent Rep. Dan Crenshaw.

The endorsement, announced February 12, 2026, followed a review of Toth’s record and leadership. Turning Point Action highlighted his consistent conservatism in the Texas House, including authoring and passing bans on Critical Race Theory and social transitioning of children in public schools, prohibiting foreign adversaries from owning Texas land, and securing billions in funding for border security.

Toth said, “Turning Point has done amazing work across the nation to bring the next generation into the conservative movement, and I am absolutely honored to have their endorsement in this race. Our children are the future of our state and our nation; that’s why I authored and passed the ban on Critical Race Theory and the social transitioning of kids in our public schools during my time in the Texas House. Now, with Turning Point’s support, I’m ready to take the fight for conservative values to Congress.”

Toth has previously earned President Donald Trump’s endorsement in both his 2022 and 2024 reelection campaigns for the Texas House and is ranked among the most conservative members of that chamber.

He will face incumbent Rep. Dan Crenshaw, whom some conservatives view as too moderate or aligned with the establishment on issues including foreign policy, spending, and cultural matters. President Trump has not made an endorsement in this race.
