Authorities in Edmond, Oklahoma, reported at least 23 people injured, some critically, following a shooting at an unsanctioned lakeside party Sunday night. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. near a campground at Arcadia Lake, a popular spot for recreation about 13 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

Edmond police spokesperson Emily Ward said the gathering drew a large crowd of mostly young adults, advertised on social media as "Sunday Funday," but it was not permitted or reserved. Officers received multiple reports of shots being fired and responded alongside Oklahoma City police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Ward noted during a late Sunday briefing that 10 victims were transported by ambulance, while others drove themselves to hospitals, with injuries in various conditions.

Nine patients were treated at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, and three at Integris Health Edmond Hospital, according to hospital officials. Some victims have since been treated and released, police said Monday, though it remained unclear how many injuries were from gunshots. No fatalities have been reported.

The shooting reportedly stemmed from a fight that escalated, with witnesses describing two men in ski masks opening fire at Spring Creek Park on the lake. One witness recounted helping a victim amid the chaos, calling it a harrowing experience. Police established a reunification center for victims and bystanders.

As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made, and no suspect descriptions were released. "We’re kind of all over the metro speaking with victims and witnesses," Ward said late Sunday.

The investigation continues, with officers interviewing witnesses across the Oklahoma City metro area. Arcadia Lake, known for picnicking, camping, fishing, and water sports, saw roads blocked off near S. Air Depot Boulevard following the chaos.
