A Bank of America vice president was killed Monday in a stabbing attack in Times Square.

Erin Piacenti, 32, of Chester, New Jersey, was stabbed in the abdomen near West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue around 4:30 p.m. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police identified the suspect as Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old woman from Queens. She also stabbed a 68-year-old man from Rhode Island in the abdomen during the incident. The man was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the attacks appeared random and unprovoked. Officers attempted to use a Taser on Cisneros but fired their weapons after she advanced toward them with knives. Cisneros was killed at the scene.

Piacenti worked as vice president of business selection and conflicts in Bank of America's global corporate and investment bank division. The bank issued a statement expressing shock and sadness over the loss of their colleague.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani and other officials expressed condolences to the victims' families. The NYPD's Force Investigation Division is continuing to investigate the incident.

Reports indicate Cisneros had a history of mental illness. The attack occurred in a high-traffic area of Midtown Manhattan near Bank of America's offices.
