Oklahoma gubernatorial candidate and former House Speaker Charles McCall has launched a new campaign ad spotlighting his record of banning Sharia law influence in state courts while serving as Speaker, while pledging that as Governor he will formally designate the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. The spot comes as McCall holds a lead over perceived RINO Gentner Drummond in early Republican primary polling.

The 30-second ad, opens with archival footage of McCall presiding over the Oklahoma House during his tenure as Speaker, when he championed and passed legislation explicitly prohibiting Oklahoma courts from considering foreign or religious law (including Sharia) in legal rulings, a move conservatives hailed as a firewall against creeping Islamist influence in the judicial system.

Narrating over the footage, McCall states: “As Speaker, I banned Sharia law from our courts to protect Oklahoma families and our Constitution. As Governor, I will go further, I will officially declare the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR what they truly are: Foreign Terrorist Organizations.”

The ad then cuts to images of border security, American flags, and Oklahoma landmarks, with McCall vowing to “put Oklahoma values first, fight radical Islam’s influence, and keep our state safe from foreign threats.” The message closes with a poll graphic showing McCall leading Drummond among likely GOP primary voters, positioning him as the strong, unapologetic conservative alternative to the incumbent Attorney General.

CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) is the largest Muslim civil-rights organization in the U.S. and has been criticized by conservatives for alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and past associations with individuals linked to Hamas (which the U.S. designates a terrorist group). The Muslim Brotherhood itself is designated a terrorist organization by several countries (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, among others) but not by the United States.

McCall’s pledge would direct Oklahoma’s state government to treat both groups as terrorist entities under state law. potentially barring state contracts, funding, or cooperation.

Early polling (internal and third-party) shows McCall leading Drummond, with many voters viewing the Attorney General as too moderate or establishment. McCall’s campaign has leaned heavily into America First messaging, including strong support for President Trump, Second Amendment rights, energy dominance, and opposition to “woke” policies.
