Vice President JD Vance, while giving his Thursday address at the Republican Midterm Convention, noted the decline of the Democratic Party, saying that they have devolved into a “party of hatred.”

The vice president said that Democrats have evolved into a group that stands against America, saying that the country should belong “to those that love it, not those that hate it.”

While recounting a recent trip to an Ohio steel mill, where he said his grandfather worked for 40 years, Vance said his relative wished for safety and jobs available to everyone.

He took offense at the suggestion by Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate nominee in Michigan, that Vance’s grandfather would object to his marriage to a woman of Indian descent.

Vance, after showing disdain towards El-Sayed’s comments, began to say that the Democratic Party had deteriorated beyond what it used to represent, saying it has now become the party of hatred.

“The Democrats are the party of hatred,” Vance said. “They’re the party that despises America and the people who built it.”

Vance then energized the crowded event by saying that Republicans need to maintain control of Congress, saying that if “Democrats are going to keep sending their crazies, we’ll send them packing.
