Kid Rock appeared on “The Charlie Kirk Show” Monday to announce he will headline Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” an alternative to the Super Bowl halftime concert featuring Bad Bunny.
Rock, who has been nominated for five Grammys but instructed organizers not to reference those accolades in promoting the event, opting instead for his 2020 “Waffle House Legend Award”, said he watched the Grammys and concluded: “This is like literally a gathering for people with the woke mind virus. You just look around the room and go, ‘Wow, man, this is terrible.’ It’s just sad to see some of these people.” Kid Rock singled out Billie Eilish, who criticized the Trump administration and ICE during the ceremony, saying she appeared “just unhappy with everything in life” and suggesting she “might want to look into Jesus.”
Kid Rock explained that conservatives and everyday Americans are underserved by mainstream entertainment, tired of being lectured on politics, agendas, and cultural issues they don’t share. He said the “All-American Halftime Show,” featuring him alongside Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, is a direct response: “Half this country is underserved entertainment-wise. So many of us got tired of Hollywood telling us how things are gonna be, and hearing all their political this and that, and trying to shove their agenda and the trans thing and everything down our throats.”
The event will stream on TPUSA’s YouTube, TBN, X, Rumble, and Sinclair Broadcast Group’s CHARGE! channel, focusing on “great music for people that love this country.
