The No. 22 LSU Tigers dominated No. 16 Mississippi State 31-0 on Saturday at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, controlling the ranked SEC matchup with an explosive passing attack and a defense that kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard.

LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt threw four touchdown passes, connecting with Eugene Wilson III, Jackson Harris twice, and Mac Elzy for scores. Harris caught two touchdown passes in the first half, helping LSU build a 21-0 advantage before halftime.

The Tigers added to their lead in the third quarter with a 26-yard field goal from Sergio Starzyk, followed by Leavitt’s touchdown pass to Elzy. That pushed the margin to 31 points as LSU’s defense continued to hold Mississippi State scoreless.

Leavitt was highly efficient through the air, completing 31 of 38 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns. Harris led the receiving corps with six catches for 85 yards and two scores, while LSU running back Davhon Jones contributed 84 rushing yards on 18 carries.

Mississippi State struggled to generate offense against the Tigers. Quarterback Blake Puckett threw for 121 yards and an interception, while the Bulldogs were unable to turn their possessions into points.

The shutout marked a strong response from LSU after a narrow 35-34 loss to Kentucky the previous week. Mississippi State, meanwhile, entered the matchup with a 4-1 record and a ranking inside the AP Top 25, but LSU seized control early and maintained its advantage throughout the game.
