Georgia Rep. Mike Collins delivered pointed criticism of Sen. Jon Ossoff during his speech at the Republican National Committee's midterm convention in Dallas on Wednesday night.

Collins, the Republican nominee challenging Ossoff in November's Senate race, told attendees that Ossoff does not care about Georgia and has consistently voted in ways that make life less safe, more expensive, and worse off for residents. "He's a man too weak and too vain to stand up for what's right. And hiding behind his makeup is a coward," Collins said.

The event, a rare midterm convention organized to rally support for Republican candidates ahead of the fall elections, featured Collins in a primetime slot alongside other GOP figures including President Trump. Collins has positioned his campaign as a direct contrast to Ossoff's record, highlighting differences on border security, inflation, and cultural issues.

The Georgia Senate contest ranks among the most competitive races this cycle. Ossoff, the only Democratic incumbent running in a state carried by Trump in 2024, holds a fundraising advantage but faces a targeted Republican effort to flip the seat. Collins advanced through a contentious GOP primary earlier this year after securing President Donald Trump's endorsement.

Collins has repeatedly framed Ossoff as out of touch with Georgia values, pointing to votes on spending measures and social policies. Ossoff's campaign has countered by attacking Collins on issues including ethics inquiries and past associations.

The Dallas speech comes less than two months before Election Day, with both campaigns intensifying efforts in a race expected to draw significant national attention and outside spending as both parties view the swing state as a necessary step in a path to a majority.
