Elon Musk's America PAC has spent more than $500,000 in support of Republican Representative Mike Lawler in New York's 17th Congressional District ahead of the November midterm elections.

Federal Election Commission filings show the super PAC, founded by Musk, has directed the funds primarily toward digital advertisements on platforms including Google, YouTube, and Facebook. The ads portray Lawler as a fighter and criticize his Democratic opponent, Cait Conley, for alleged ties to progressive figures.

Lawler, a moderate Republican seeking reelection in the Hudson Valley district, faces a competitive challenge from Conley, a former head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. The race ranks among the most closely watched House contests that could influence Republican control of Congress.

This latest outlay builds on America PAC's prior support for Lawler. The group spent more than $2 million backing his 2024 reelection bid. Musk has emerged as the largest known donor in the 2026 midterm cycle, with total contributions reaching $366 million, including $276 million funneled since July to Republican-aligned groups and his own super PAC.

America PAC has also invested in turnout operations across multiple battleground states and nearly three dozen House races. The spending in New York aligns with broader efforts to defend Republican majorities in both chambers of Congress.

Conley has countered by accusing Lawler of prioritizing Musk's interests over stronger regulation of emerging technologies. Super PAC spending on the race overall exceeds $16 million from various groups.

The filings reflect ongoing financial commitments by Musk to Republican candidates in tight contests as Election Day approaches.
