The No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels crushed the No. 13 Missouri Tigers 31-3 on Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, earning a dominant victory over a ranked SEC opponent. Ole Miss scored touchdowns in the first two quarters, added 10 points in the fourth and held Missouri scoreless after the opening period.

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss led the Rebels with 241 passing yards and three touchdown passes while completing 20 of 36 attempts. He connected with Caleb Odom for a 10-yard touchdown in the first quarter, Harrison Fields for a 21-yard score in the second and Cayden Cunningham for a 17-yard touchdown later in the first half. Ole Miss carried a 21-3 lead into halftime.

Running back Kewan Lacy powered the ground game with 122 yards on 16 carries, averaging more than seven yards per attempt. Chambliss added a five-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 28-3. Kicker Lucas Carneiro later converted a 38-yard field goal to complete the scoring.

Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons threw for 334 yards, completing 24 of 41 passes, but the Tigers could not turn that production into touchdowns. Wide receiver Donovan Olugbode led Missouri with nine receptions for 127 yards. The Tigers’ only points came on Blake Craig’s 27-yard field goal in the first quarter.

The Rebels’ defense kept Missouri off the scoreboard for the final three quarters, preventing the Tigers from mounting a comeback despite their passing yardage. Ole Miss also avoided turnovers, helping the team maintain control throughout the contest.

The loss was a major setback for Missouri, which entered the matchup ranked No. 13 with a 5-1 record. Ole Miss, meanwhile, secured an important win against a ranked conference opponent, improving its position as the SEC schedule intensifies and the College Football Playoff race takes shape.
