Anna Paulina Luna is calling on the U.S. Department of Defense to release dozens of classified military videos allegedly showing unidentified aerial phenomena near sensitive installations.
In a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Luna requested the declassification of 46 video clips reportedly held by the Pentagon. The request is part of an ongoing investigation by the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.
Luna cited whistleblower claims that the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office possesses additional unreleased footage, arguing that continued secrecy raises concerns about transparency and potential national security risks.
Sources familiar with the footage described the clips as unusual, reportedly including thermal sensor recordings, radar data, satellite imagery, and even underwater visuals of unidentified submerged objects. However, no footage is said to show extraterrestrial beings.
The renewed push for disclosure comes amid broader public and government interest in UFOs, also referred to as UAP. A 2023 NASA report examining hundreds of sightings found no evidence suggesting extraterrestrial origins.
Still, prominent figures have acknowledged unexplained encounters. Donald Trump has said credible pilots reported seeing objects moving at extreme speeds, while former President Barack Obama has remarked on the statistical likelihood of life elsewhere in the universe.
Luna has requested the materials be turned over by mid-April as lawmakers continue to press for greater transparency surrounding unexplained aerial incidents and their potential implications.
