Treyvon Jameel Currie, Jessica Marie Zamora and Demandre Michael Frazier are facing federal charges following an investigation into alleged illegal firearm purchases and an attempted armed entry at the Nevada National Security Site's North Las Vegas Facility. Federal prosecutors announced the indictments Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026.

According to the indictment, Currie and Zamora allegedly entered or attempted to enter the Energy Department facility on Aug. 5 while carrying a concealed firearm. The facility is part of the Nevada National Security Sites, a federal complex that was formerly known as the Nevada Test Site.

Currie and Zamora each face charges of entering or attempting to enter federal property by fraud or false pretenses with the intent to commit a felony, possessing a firearm in a secure federal facility, unauthorized entry into an Energy Department facility enclosed by a structural barrier, and introducing a dangerous weapon onto the property.

Zamora also faces two counts related to the alleged illegal acquisition of firearms, while Frazier faces one such charge.

Federal prosecutors allege that Zamora and Frazier made false statements on federal firearms transaction forms when purchasing two Smith & Wesson pistols in February. The firearms included a 9mm pistol and a .40-caliber pistol.

In April, prosecutors allege Zamora and another individual whose identity has not been publicly released made additional false statements on federal firearms paperwork while purchasing a 10mm Smith & Wesson pistol.

The Nevada National Security Sites have played a significant role in the nation's nuclear security operations. The complex was the location of hundreds of U.S. nuclear weapons tests during the Cold War and now supports missions involving nuclear weapons stewardship, emergency response, nuclear forensics and other national-security activities.

Federal prosecutors have not disclosed why Currie and Zamora allegedly attempted to enter the secured facility or what they intended to do there.

The FBI and North Las Vegas Police Department are investigating the case. A jury trial has been scheduled for Nov. 2, 2026, before Chief U.S. District Judge Andrew P. Gordon.

Federal prosecutors emphasized that an indictment contains allegations, and all three defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
