When Everything Is “Racist”, Real Problems Get Ignored
This is fake outrage on steroids.
A woman says a Halloween display reminds her of the lynching of her ancestors. I’m reacting to the news coverage and explaining why I disagree with her interpretation. Historical atrocities deserve to be taken seriously. But does that mean this Halloween display deserves to be treated as a racial statement? I discuss the complaint, the outrage surrounding it, and why I believe accusations of racism need to be supported by context and evidence. Watch the clip and hear my take. Did this display cross a line, or is the reaction going too far?
