The primary held on Tuesday saw Donalds win the Republican nomination, earning 49% of the vote over second-place finisher Jay Collins, who earned 24.7%.
David Jolly earned 61.6% of his party's vote, earning him the Democratic nomination over runner-up Dayna Marie Foster, who earned 14.8% of the vote.
Each race was called by the Associated Press at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Donalds was perceived as the odds-on favorite to secure the Republican nomination, with late polling showing voters preferred Donalds over his competitors, earning 41% support and leading second-place candidate Collins, who received 15% support.
Rep. Byron Donalds received endorsements from not only President Donald Trump, but also Donald Trump Jr., Elon Musk, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and senators Rick Scott and Ted Cruz.

His platform sees Donalds standing with Trump's agenda, advancing his “Make America Great Again” initiative, along with tackling illegal immigration, improving infrastructure, protecting conservative values, and expanding economic opportunities.
Jolly ran on a campaign centered on change, saying during one of his stops, “What I can tell you is that the values I speak of that the economy should work, that government can do a little bit to improve our lives, and that everyone should have the right to be protected those are the guideposts for how I’ll serve as governor.”
The Republican-turned-Democrat’s platform involved solving the affordability and insurance crises, funding public schools, reforming campaign finance and ethics, and strengthening the state’s economy.
Both Donalds and Jolly are set to compete for the Florida governor's seat on November 3.
