U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee condemned a days-long siege by Jewish settlers on the home of a Palestinian American family in the West Bank village of Qusra on Thursday, calling the actions a horrific act of terror.

Huckabee described the incident as criminal behavior intended to intimidate and harass the family. He stated there was no excuse for such thuggish conduct and confirmed that the U.S. Embassy had intervened directly with Israeli authorities.

Israeli troops and police moved in at the embassy's request to remove the settlers involved, according to statements from Huckabee. The ambassador noted that the embassy had kept Washington informed throughout the situation.

The siege targeted homes in Qusra, a village near Nablus in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Reports indicated that settlers had trapped Palestinian families inside their residences for multiple days.
