Early reports say Curry passed away at his Los Angeles home late Tuesday night.

No further information has been shared.

Curry experienced a lengthy history of health-related battles, sharing a rare insight into his condition after suffering a major stroke 13 years ago with The New York Times.

Born April 19, 1946, in Grappenhall, Cheshire, England, Timothy James Curry first found success in his acting career in the London production of "Hair".

Curry then followed with more work in the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Glasgow Citizens Repertory Company, and the Royal Court Theatre, where he created the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in "The Rocky Horror Show".

He later recreated that role in the screen version of the play, titled The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Curry led a lengthy Broadway career, starring in numerous roles and receiving two Tony Award nominations for Best Actor, as well as winning the Royal Variety Club Award as "Stage Actor of the Year".
