Country singer Ella Langley’s October 9 concert at the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa was canceled following a reported bomb threat, disrupting a major stop on her The Dandelion Tour.
The venue announced the cancellation Friday, citing a serious security threat involving the safety of concertgoers, employees, and performers. In its statement, the BOK Center said the show could not proceed after careful consideration and emphasized that protecting everyone involved was its top priority. The venue apologized to fans and said additional information about ticket refunds would be provided.
The concert had been scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and was set to feature Langley alongside fellow country artists Kameron Marlowe and Laci Kaye Booth. The event was part of Langley’s ongoing tour, which has brought the rising country star to venues across the country.
Tulsa police responded to the reported threat and conducted a preliminary sweep of the venue with K-9 officers. According to local reports, officers found no indication of a threat during that initial search. Police also said they had not advised the BOK Center to cancel the performance, indicating that the venue made the decision independently amid the security concerns.
The cancellation also affected plans surrounding the concert. A free street party featuring live music and other activities had been scheduled outside the BOK Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday ahead of Langley’s performance.
The reported threat prompted concern among fans who had planned to attend the show, particularly as the venue worked to address the situation. Officials had not publicly identified anyone responsible for the threat in the available reports, and further details about the circumstances remained limited.
The BOK Center said it would share additional information about ticket refunds as it became available. No rescheduled performance had been announced in the information available Friday.
The incident brought an abrupt end to what had been scheduled as a major night of country music in downtown Tulsa, with the venue prioritizing security while authorities addressed the reported threat.
