LSU controlled the game from the opening quarter, building a 7-0 lead before adding another touchdown in the second to take a 14-3 advantage into halftime.

The Tigers opened the scoring when Dilin Jones powered into the end zone from one yard out. Texas A&M answered with a 24-yard field goal, but LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt responded by finding Jackson Harris for a 16-yard touchdown pass.

Texas A&M struggled to generate consistent offense all night. The Aggies managed only 197 total yards and were held without a touchdown. Quarterback Marcel Reed completed just 10 of 26 passes for 106 yards with an interception.

LSU broke the game open after intermission. Leavitt connected with Harris again early in the third quarter, this time for a 57-yard touchdown that pushed the lead to 20-3. Harris finished with six catches for 163 yards and two scores.

The Tigers kept pouring it on as Landen Clark scored twice on short runs of four and two yards. By the end of the third quarter, LSU had stretched its advantage to 35-6. Texas A&M managed only one more score after halftime, a 54-yard field goal, as the Tigers’ defense kept the Aggies out of the end zone.

Leavitt finished 17-of-23 for 312 yards and two touchdowns. LSU also produced 194 rushing yards, led by Jones with 63 yards and a touchdown and Harlem Berry with 58 yards. The Tigers finished with 506 total yards while holding Texas A&M to 3.3 yards per play and forcing two turnovers.

The victory moved LSU to 3-1 and provided a strong response after the previous week’s 32-24 loss to Ole Miss. Texas A&M dropped to 2-2 after being held to six points in the SEC matchup
