Maria Bartiromo offered her first public comments since leaving Fox News Media, thanking fans and hinting at more revelations ahead.

The veteran journalist shared a photo of a rainbow on social media Thursday and thanked fans for their support. "Thank you to all friends & followers for your amazing words. I am so grateful for the outpouring of love on [social media] & texts. I love you all," she wrote.

Fox News announced on Sept. 3 that Bartiromo was no longer with the company, effective immediately.

The statement thanked her for more than 12 years of work and wished her well in her next chapter, but offered no further explanation.

Her final on-air appearance was weeks earlier, on August 9.

Multiple outlets reported that the split stemmed from an internal dispute in July.

They alleged that Bartiromo shared a Fox Business executive's text message directing staff not to cover President Trump's prime-time remarks on election integrity with White House officials.

Fox News reportedly viewed the disclosure as a policy breach.

Bartiromo's attorney, Bryan Freedman, quickly pushed back on characterizations of the departure as a firing, saying that claims she was no longer an employee were "absolutely and unequivocally false".

“For many years, Maria Bartiromo hosted three number-one-rated television shows on Fox channels. She has been, without question, one of the hardest-working journalists throughout her award-winning career,” the statement read. “Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth.”

Bartiromo has been a legacy reporter for the media juggernaut, first joining in 2014, when she made appearances on the Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel.

She hosted "Mornings with Maria" and the weekly "Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” while also anchoring "Sunday Morning Futures" on Fox News Channel.

Her departure left fans befuddled, and supporters quickly defended her against Fox News. The media buzz caught the attention of President Donald Trump, who posted on Truth Social, calling the journalist “a true warrior.”

“I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business,” Trump wrote. “Three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior.”

“Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy. God bless you, Maria! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” the president concluded.

This latest announcement by Bartiromo has not elaborated on why she and Fox News parted ways, as fan speculation continues to drive the conversation.
