Elon Musk's America PAC has begun executing on plans to spend at least $100 million supporting Republican candidates in the 2026 midterm elections. The super PAC released its first independent expenditure filings late Wednesday, revealing roughly $800,000 directed at competitive House and Senate races.

The spending targeted key Senate contests in Texas, Maine, Ohio, New Hampshire, Iowa, Michigan and Alaska. The largest single allocation exceeded $247,000 in Texas, where Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton faces Democrat James Talarico. Additional funds went to races in Maine and other battlegrounds.

Nearly $90,000 supported eight House candidates, including Rep. Derrick Van Orden in Wisconsin, Rep. Mike Lawler in New York, Rep. Jen Kiggans in Virginia, Rep. Tom Kean Jr. in New Jersey, and several Pennsylvania and Florida contenders.

Musk authorized America PAC to spend between $100 million and $120 million on a major voter turnout operation across at least eight states, according to multiple reports. The effort focuses on mobilizing Republican-leaning voters who often sit out midterm elections.

This commitment builds on Musk's substantial involvement in the 2024 cycle, where his PAC spent hundreds of millions backing President Trump and other Republicans. The latest disclosures follow a meeting between Musk and House Speaker Mike Johnson.

America PAC has already spent over $50 million in the current cycle, with the bulk coming from Musk himself. The new wave of spending adds to Republican advantages in outside money heading into November.
