Oregon and USC traded blows throughout the night before the Ducks took control late, turning a 27-27 tie into a 41-27 victory at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The Ducks opened the scoring with a 30-yard field goal from Grant Hurych. USC answered in the second quarter when quarterback Jayden Maiava connected with Kayden Dixon-Wyatt for a 31-yard touchdown. Oregon responded as quarterback Dylan Raiola found Evan Stewart for a three-yard score, then added a field goal just before halftime to take a 13-10 lead into the break.

The game stayed tight after intermission. Oregon extended its lead when running back Dierre Hill Jr. scored on a one-yard run early in the third quarter. USC answered with a one-yard touchdown run from Maiava and later added a field goal. Hill scored again on a four-yard run, but the Trojans stayed within reach.

USC took its first lead of the second half when Maiava found T.J. Hines for an 11-yard touchdown with 12:47 remaining in the fourth quarter, putting the Trojans ahead 27-26 after the extra point.

Oregon answered immediately. Raiola connected with Dante Moore for a 29-yard touchdown with 8:43 left, restoring the Ducks’ lead at 33-27. USC could not respond, and Oregon sealed the win on its next scoring drive when Jordon Davison powered in from two yards out with 2:11 remaining. Hurych’s extra point made it 41-27.

Raiola completed 19 of 25 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns. Jamari Johnson led Oregon with seven receptions for 119 yards, while Hill finished with two rushing scores. Maiava threw for 327 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing score for USC. Dixon-Wyatt caught seven passes for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Oregon finished with 505 total yards to USC’s 446. Neither team committed a turnover, but the Ducks were more efficient in the decisive moments. The victory moved Oregon to 3-1 and gave the No. 20 Ducks a signature road win. USC fell to 4-1 after opening the season unbeaten
