The Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Giants 28-6 on Monday night at SoFi Stadium, improving to 1-1 on the season while handing New York its first loss. The Rams controlled the game offensively and defensively, finishing with 481 total yards compared with just 182 for the Giants.

Stafford completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns, giving Los Angeles the production it needed after its Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Davante Adams led the receiving attack with eight catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns, including a 31-yard score in the first quarter.

The Giants' night became more difficult when Dart left the game with a knee injury. Dart had started the contest before Jameis Winston took over at quarterback. Winston completed 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards and an interception, while New York struggled to consistently move the ball against the Rams' defense.

Los Angeles continued extending its advantage throughout the game. Stafford connected with Kyren Williams for a 10-yard touchdown in the second quarter, then found Adams again for an 11-yard score in the third. Terrance Ferguson added a five-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter to complete the Rams' scoring.

The Rams also received strong production from their rushing attack, with Williams recording 85 yards on 12 carries and Blake Corum adding 79 yards on 12 carries. New York managed only six points, both coming from field goals, as the Giants failed to find the end zone.

The victory moved Los Angeles to 1-1 heading into its Week 3 matchup with the Denver Broncos. New York also sits at 1-1 and will return home Sunday to face the Tennessee Titans.
