The Florida Gators wasted little time establishing control at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, jumping out to a 10-0 lead during the first quarter against an Ole Miss team that entered the game ranked No. 4 in the country.

The Gators extended their advantage to 17-3 in the second quarter after running back Jadan Baugh scored his second touchdown of the afternoon. Ole Miss managed a pair of field goals before halftime, but Florida took a 17-6 lead into the locker room.

The Rebels came alive after halftime and briefly made the game much closer.

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss scored twice on the ground during the third quarter, including an eight-yard touchdown run and a 10-yard score. Ole Miss also converted a two-point attempt after one of the touchdowns, cutting Florida's lead to 24-21.

Florida answered with a 45-yard touchdown run from Duke Clark before quarterback Aaron Philo added another rushing touchdown. The Gators entered the fourth quarter leading 31-21.

Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss connected with Deuce Alexander for a two-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter, trimming the deficit to 10 points. Florida responded with two more touchdowns, including a five-yard touchdown pass from Philo to A.J. Jackson and a two-yard scoring run by Baugh.

Baugh's fourth-quarter touchdown put Florida ahead 51-28, and the Gators added another point on the ensuing extra point to reach 52 points.

Baugh finished with 142 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries, while Clark added 126 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries. Florida finished with 497 total yards, including 301 on the ground.

Philo completed 16 of 23 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown while also scoring on the ground.

Ole Miss gained 426 total yards, but the Rebels turned the ball over twice. Chambliss threw an interception late in the fourth quarter after Florida had already built a commanding lead.

The victory moved Florida to 4-0 and gave the Gators a major SEC win over a previously unbeaten top-five opponent. Ole Miss fell to 3-1 after entering Gainesville ranked fourth nationally.
