Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt joined many others in honoring Charlie Kirk during remarks at the Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas on Thursday, one year after the Turning Point USA founder was assassinated at Utah Valley University.

Leavitt highlighted Kirk’s role in conservative politics and turned her attention to the upcoming midterm elections and encouraging Americans to participate.

“So, my fellow Americans, on November 3rd, pair your prayer with action and get out and vote,” Leavitt said. “Vote like the lives of our children and their futures depend on it, because they do.”

Leavitt’s remarks came during the second and final day of the Republican gathering, which was held Sept. 9-10 at the American Airlines Center. The convention featured Republican officials, administration figures and candidates ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections.

Leavitt's appeal connected Kirk’s political legacy with the convention’s broader focus on turnout ahead of the November elections, urging voters to translate their convictions into participation at the ballot box as the GOP seeks to retain their majority in 2027.
