Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff holds a lead over Republican Rep. Mike Collins in Georgia's U.S. Senate race, according to multiple recent surveys.

RealClearPolling's average through mid-September placed Ossoff at 50.8 percent to Collins's 42.8 percent, an eight-point margin. Other aggregators showed similar results, with Pollsmax reporting a 7.8-point average advantage for the incumbent.

A September 14 Rasmussen Reports poll of 1,019 likely voters found Ossoff at 51 percent to Collins's 42 percent. The Trafalgar Group survey from September 10-12 showed 49 percent for Ossoff and 43 percent for Collins among 1,091 likely voters. An InsiderAdvantage poll from mid-August had Ossoff at 50 percent and Collins at 43 percent.

One recent survey indicated a narrower contest. Quantus Insights polling conducted September 14-16 among 645 likely voters gave Ossoff 48.2 percent to Collins's 44.4 percent initially, tightening to 49 percent to 44.9 percent when leaners were included. The margin fell within the poll's margin of error.

Collins secured the Republican nomination in a June runoff against Derek Dooley after winning the May primary. The general election is scheduled for November 3.

Race ratings from major outlets classify the contest as leaning or likely Democratic. Ossoff, first elected in 2021, faces a rematch dynamic in a state that supported President Trump in 2024. Collins has positioned his campaign as aligned with the president.

Voter breakdowns in recent surveys showed Ossoff with strong support among women and Black voters, while Collins performed better among men, white voters, and older demographics.
