The Baltimore Ravens rallied from a late deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 in overtime Sunday night, extending their winning streak to three games and improving to 4-1 on the season. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley led the comeback in place of injured star Lamar Jackson, while running back Derrick Henry helped power Baltimore’s offense down the stretch.
Atlanta appeared poised to secure the victory after building a 23-15 lead in the fourth quarter at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Falcons extended their advantage with two field goals from kicker Nick Folk, including a 48-yarder, but Baltimore mounted a late drive to force overtime.
With just 40 seconds remaining in regulation, Huntley connected with wide receiver Devontez Walker for a seven-yard touchdown. Henry then converted the two-point attempt to tie the game at 23-23, sending the contest into overtime and completing a crucial late rally.
Baltimore took possession first in overtime and drove down the field before Huntley powered into the end zone on a one-yard run to put the Ravens ahead 30-23. Atlanta's subsequent possession ended when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who had taken over after Michael Penix Jr. left with a rib injury, threw an interception to Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton to seal the win.
Huntley finished 24-of-32 passing for 201 yards and two touchdown passes, adding the decisive rushing score. He delivered the performance Baltimore needed with Jackson sidelined by an ankle injury.
Henry was another major factor for Baltimore, rushing for 102 yards and catching an 18-yard touchdown pass from Huntley in the third quarter. The Ravens had failed on the two-point conversion following Henry’s touchdown, leaving them trailing 17-15 at the time, but the veteran running back later converted the tying attempt in the final minute.
Atlanta also received contributions from its defense and passing game. Safety Jessie Bates III returned a Baltimore fumble 36 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, while tight end Kyle Pitts caught a five-yard touchdown pass from Penix in the second. Penix threw for 240 yards and a touchdown before leaving with his injury.
The Falcons had opportunities to put the game away but could not stop Baltimore’s final drive in regulation or its opening possession in overtime. The loss dropped Atlanta to 2-3, while the Ravens moved to 4-1 and continued their strong start despite Jackson’s absence. Baltimore will next travel to face the Cleveland Browns, while Atlanta is scheduled to host the Chicago Bears next Sunday.
