White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles announced Wednesday that she is cancer-free, six months after revealing that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.

Wiles shared the news following a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic, saying her pathology results came back clear. She thanked her family, friends, doctors and those who supported her throughout her treatment, while also expressing gratitude for President Donald Trump’s support.

Wiles disclosed her diagnosis in March and said at the time that she intended to continue working while undergoing treatment. She has remained active in her role as Trump’s chief of staff, including traveling with the president to Dallas for the Republican midterm convention last week.

As Trump’s top White House aide, Wiles has played a central role in managing the administration and coordinating its agenda since becoming chief of staff at the start of Trump’s second term. Her continued work during treatment allowed her to remain involved in the administration’s priorities while receiving medical care.

In her announcement Wednesday, Wiles said she would continue working to advance Trump’s America First agenda. Details of her specific treatment have not been publicly disclosed.
