Vice President JD Vance and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are set to headline Tuesday’s Make America Healthy Again Summit in Washington.

Vance and Kennedy will close the one-day event at the Waldorf Astoria with a fireside chat focused on the movement’s accomplishments, regulatory agenda and priorities for the coming year. Vance promoted the summit Monday, highlighting the administration’s work since President Donald Trump took office in January 2025.

The gathering brings together Trump administration officials, health advocates and executives from the food, health care and technology industries. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin are among the participating officials.

Some activists who helped build the movement have criticized the corporate presence, arguing that MAHA originally centered on concerns over vaccines, pesticides, processed food, regenerative agriculture and corporate influence on public health. Regenerative farming advocate Kelly Ryerson, Dr. Robert Malone and Houston physician Dr. Mary Talley Bowden have all voiced concerns about the speaker lineup and sponsors.

The summit website lists companies including Walmart, OpenAI, Anthropic and Hims & Hers among sponsors or participants. Executives from Sweetgreen, GRAIL and other health technology firms are also on the program. Bloomberg reported that organizers offered sponsorship packages costing as much as $300,000, with the highest tier including a speaking opportunity, input on panels and a private dinner with Kennedy and CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz.

An HHS spokesperson said department officials attending the summit were not involved in planning or sponsorship and were unaware of the arrangements described in the report. The summit’s website states that the MAHA Center does not coordinate with any government entity on planning or sponsorship.

Organizers and the administration point to a broader agenda covering nutrition, food additives, chronic disease and federal health policy. Panels address food, affordability, longevity, artificial intelligence, psychedelic medicine and biotechnology. The event also occurs as the administration approaches the 2026 midterm elections; MAHA organizer Tony Lyons has encouraged supporters to stay politically active.

Vance and Kennedy’s appearance will allow the administration to outline its view of the movement’s progress while the summit’s composition highlights an internal debate over the breadth of its health agenda and the role of major corporations.
