Rick Scott Expects Thune to Remain Majority Leader Next Session

In an exclusive interview with Real Truth Media, the Florida Senator and former candidate for Leader says he thinks "John Thune will get re-elected."

Republican Senator Rick Scott of Florida is on the ground in Dallas today, one of many high-profile elected officials in attendance of the first ever Midterm Republican National Convention.

Scott, who previously ran to succeed Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell as Senate Majority Leader in 2024, gave an exclusive interview Wednesday evening to Real Truth Media's Chief Political Correspondent Desirée Townsend.

In the interview, Scott said he believes that South Dakota Senator and current Majority Leader John Thune will be elected Leader again.

Scott did not specifically rule out the prospect of running for Leader. Rather, his comment reflected that Thune's re-election was likely. As Thune continues to face scrutiny from the GOP base, there could be more to this story in the coming months.
