Senate Leadership Fund and its affiliated groups have raised more than $500 million for the 2026 Senate elections, setting a new record for any Senate-focused effort.

The announcement came Monday from the super PAC aligned with Senate Majority Leader John Thune. Executive Director Alex Latcham credited Thune and major donors for the historic total.

Republicans face the typical midterm headwinds against the president's party. Despite that, the groups have positioned themselves to keep Democrats on defense across key states.

Campaign materials highlight Democratic opposition to President Donald Trump's agenda and past support for progressive policies. Ads in Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, and North Carolina focus on crime, veterans' issues, and candidate scandals.

Latcham stated the combination of strong candidates, a clear message, and record funding gives Senate Republicans confidence in holding their majority in November.

The fundraising surge builds on earlier reports showing the Senate Leadership Fund with substantial cash reserves compared to its Democratic counterpart. Republicans aim to use the resources to protect vulnerable seats and maintain control of the chamber.
