Wyoming voters went to the polls Tuesday for primary elections that will determine nominees for governor, U.S. Senate, and the state's lone House seat in November.

According to the Associated Press, at 10:52 p.m., Hageman captured the Senate Republican nomination with 62.3% compared to the runner-up Sam Mead, who amassed 31.4%.

Hageman, who received endorsements from President Trump and both of Wyoming's sitting senators, was positioned to advance easily in the deep-red state.

Just a minute later, the AP called the Democratic race, announcing James Byrd the winner with 77.8% of the vote compared to his challenger Billy Benavidez.

Eric Barlow secured the Republican nomination for Wyoming governor, defeating runner-up Megan Degenfelder 44.4% to 28.1%. The AP called the race at 10:54 p.m.

Barlow’s challenger, Kenneth Casner, ran uncontested, becoming the Democratic nominee ahead of the general election to replace Republican Gov. Mark Gordon.

The race for the Wyoming District 1 congressional seat, formerly Hageman’s chair, is still underway, as the GOP race has not yet determined a winner.

On the Democratic side, at 10:56 p.m., Lisa Kinney was called the winner, defeating opponent Elena Del Real 74.6% to 25.4%.

For Secretary of State, the uncontested Democratic nominee, Bryan McCarty, awaits the outcome of the GOP race, which is ongoing. Currently, Robert Short is leading by over 10 percentage points over Rachel Williams. As of 11:14 p.m., Short leads Williams 46.1% to 33.9%

Results will continue to be updated as counties finish counting. The general election is scheduled for November 3.
