The House Freedom Caucus’ campaign arm is putting millions behind Republican House candidates as the November midterms enter their final stretch, targeting seven districts with television, digital and social media advertising.

The Freedom Caucus Fund is launching a multimillion-dollar advertising push for Republican candidates ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections, with the group announcing plans to spend $6 million across seven House races.

The campaign is backing Republican Reps. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Nick Begich of Alaska, Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Eli Crane of Arizona, along with new candidates Brandon Herrera in Texas, Mike Beltran in Florida and David Flippo in Nevada. The group previously announced the seven-district program as its main general-election spending effort.

The Freedom Caucus Fund is presenting the races as a fight over the direction of the Democratic Party, arguing that the Democratic nominees support policies involving immigration, taxes, transgender athletes and impeachment of President Donald Trump. Those descriptions are campaign claims from the Republican group and reflect how it is framing the contests to voters.

The spending comes as several prominent House Freedom Caucus members are leaving the chamber after this Congress. Caucus members like Reps. Chip Roy of Texas, Byron Donalds of Florida and Ralph Norman of South Carolina are running for other offices, while former Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs of Arizona is running for governor rather than seeking reelection to the House.

The seven targeted districts include several races the Freedom Caucus Fund itself describes as competitive, including contests involving Perry, Begich and Herrera. Federal campaign-finance records show the organization has already reported substantial September media expenditures in support of the candidates.

The Freedom Caucus Fund said its broader goal is to increase the number of lawmakers aligned with its priorities in the next Congress. The organization has also said the spending is intended to oppose Democratic candidates it describes as socialist and promote an agenda centered on President Trump's policies.
