British actor Tom Holland has become the highest-grossing lead actor of all time, with his films accumulating approximately $15.5 billion in worldwide box office receipts.

The milestone was reached over the weekend as Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey continued their strong theatrical runs. Holland overtook previous record holder Zoe Saldaña, whose total stands at roughly $15.47 billion, and Scarlett Johansson at about $15.4 billion.

Holland's total is driven primarily by his role as Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Key contributors include Avengers: Endgame at $2.799 billion, Spider-Man: Brand New Day at $2.451 billion, Avengers: Infinity War at $2.052 billion, and Spider-Man: No Way Home at $1.921 billion. His non-Marvel hit The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, has grossed $1.684 billion.

At age 30, Holland is the youngest actor to reach the top of the lead actor rankings. His 24 lead or ensemble lead roles average $648 million per film, the highest among top earners.

The achievement reflects the dominance of major franchises in modern box office performance. Holland also passed his former co-star Robert Downey Jr., whose leading roles total around $14.3 billion.

Rankings are based on worldwide grosses from films in which actors had leading or lead ensemble roles, according to data from The Numbers and reported across multiple outlets. Separate lists that include all roles place Samuel L. Jackson and the late Stan Lee higher due to extensive cameos and supporting parts.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day remains in theaters and is approaching further domestic milestones, while The Odyssey continues to add to Holland's cumulative total.
