Rick Harrison, the 61-year-old star of the long-running History Channel series Pawn Stars, is recovering at home after emergency cardiac bypass surgery.

Harrison entered the hospital on September 4 for what was expected to be a routine stent procedure. Doctors discovered a more serious heart condition during the operation and performed bypass surgery instead.

A family spokesperson confirmed that Harrison is resting comfortably and expects a full recovery. He expressed gratitude to the doctors and hospital staff for their care, as well as to his wife and family for their support during his stay.

The reality television personality was discharged from the hospital on September 7. A representative told outlets that he is now resting at home and doing great.

Harrison married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin earlier this year. The couple wed in Las Vegas in January before holding a larger ceremony in Cancun. His wife remained by his side throughout the medical ordeal.

Pawn Stars has followed Harrison and his family at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas since its premiere in 2009. The show remains a staple of unscripted television.

Harrison has kept a relatively low public profile in recent months following personal challenges, including the loss of family members. His latest health update comes as he focuses on recovery with loved ones nearby.
