Elon Musk says his artificial intelligence company will adopt a new name following President Donald Trump’s push to replace the term “artificial intelligence” with “super intelligence.”
Musk announced Sunday that SpaceXAI will be renamed “SpaceXSI,” embracing the terminology promoted by the Trump administration.
“No more AI. SI. It’s better,” Musk wrote on X, adding that SpaceX is a “super intelligence company.”

SI
It’s better
The announcement came after an X user asked Musk whether SpaceXAI could be renamed SpaceXSI. Musk replied, “Yes, we will make that change.”
The proposed rebranding follows President Trump’s recent decision directing federal agencies to use “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in place of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” in government communications.
Musk’s comments appear to signal that the terminology change could extend beyond the federal government and into his own AI operations. However, no formal corporate announcement or timetable for the SpaceXSI name change has been released, meaning the change currently rests on Musk’s public statements.
