Actress Candace Cameron Bure stated that Christianity remains stigmatized in Hollywood even as people have grown more open about their beliefs.

Bure said people now feel freer to express their views regardless of political or religious differences. “I think everyone at this point pretty much shares what they believe to be true, no matter what side of the aisle you’re on,” she said. “So I feel like it’s acceptable to share, but as far as being stigmatized or blacklisted or even canceled, I think there’s still some of that.”

Bure noted improvement compared to recent years. “But it’s definitely not to the degree that it was even a few years ago,” she added. “Everything’s kind of loosened up a bit. It’s been called out, and it’s like, we can all have different opinions, and we can all still be working.”

She emphasized respect for differing opinions. “There is no world in which we’re all going to think the same thing. So let’s just share what ours is and respect both sides of it,” Bure said. “That’s how I’ve always done it. It’s like, share what you believe. No one’s trying to convince you otherwise, but, you know, it’s all about sharing what drives you or what you believe for your own purpose of how you’re living your life.”

The comments came ahead of Bure’s appearance on season five of the Fox reality competition “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” The Full House alum has long been open about her Christian faith, including during her time as chief creative officer at the conservative network Great American Family.

Bure has faced public backlash in the past over her views on traditional marriage and family programming. She has maintained that her faith guides her career choices and personal life while continuing to work across divides, including with former co-star Jodie Sweetin.

Her remarks reflect ongoing discussions about religious expression in an industry often viewed as secular and progressive.
