YouTuber and social media influencer Jack Doherty was arrested Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery following a reported domestic dispute, according to police.

Fort Lauderdale police said officers responded at approximately 11:56 a.m. to a residence in the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court in the city’s Riverside Park neighborhood. Investigators determined that Doherty and a woman had been involved in a physical altercation inside the home.

Police said the woman was not injured. Doherty was taken into custody and booked into the Broward County Main Jail. Online jail records showed no bond listed Friday evening.

Details surrounding what led to the confrontation have not been fully released. A source close to Doherty told TMZ that he acted in self-defense, but that claim has not been established by police and the circumstances remain under investigation.

The arrest marks Doherty’s second known encounter with South Florida law enforcement in less than a year. In November 2025, Miami Beach police arrested him after officers said he refused repeated commands to leave a roadway while filming social media content. He faced charges involving possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession and resisting an officer without violence.

That earlier case was later handled through a Miami-Dade County pretrial diversion program. Reports indicate Doherty completed the program’s requirements and avoided a conviction.

Doherty has built a large online following through videos featuring stunts, pranks and other entertainment content, with more than 15 million YouTube subscribers.

The latest case remains pending, and Doherty has not been convicted of the domestic battery charge.
