Chewy confirmed it is no longer affiliated with or sponsoring the “I’ve Had It” podcast after hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan faced widespread criticism for laughing at a social media post about the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In a customer service response shared publicly on social media, Chewy made clear that it does not support the podcast or the comments made by its hosts. The company issued a firm statement distancing itself from the program and condemning violence.

“We do not sponsor or support the ‘I’ve Had It’ podcast. We unequivocally condemn violence in all forms. The comments made by the hosts do not reflect Chewy’s values or what we stand for as a company,” the company stated.

The controversy followed the podcast's November 5 episode, titled “Drinking MAGA Tears,” during which Welch and Sullivan discussed social media reactions to Democratic victories in the 2026 midterm elections. During the discussion, Welch read a post joking about digging up Kirk's body and killing him again. Both hosts laughed for more than 20 seconds after hearing the comment.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated on September 10, 2025, while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in Utah. Tyler Robinson has been charged with his murder.

Chewy is not the only company to distance itself from the podcast following the backlash. Cash App announced that it was no longer sponsoring the show, while Boll & Branch said it does not currently advertise on the podcast and will not do so in the future. Lola Blankets also confirmed that it no longer works with the program.

The companies' decisions followed criticism from social media users who questioned whether businesses should continue supporting a program whose hosts laughed at a joke about a murdered political activist. The controversy has also renewed scrutiny of the podcast's advertisers and the hosts' public comments.
