Republican Rep. Randy Fine has won reelection in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, defeating Democratic challenger Eric Yonce in the November 3 midterm election. Fine’s victory preserves the Republican seat in a district covering parts of Northeast and Central Florida.

Fine was first elected to Congress in an April 2025 special election after former Rep. Mike Waltz vacated the seat to join the Trump administration. Before entering Congress, Fine served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2024 and the Florida Senate beginning in 2024.

A third-generation Floridian, Fine built a career as an entrepreneur before entering public office. During his time in the Florida Legislature, he chaired several committees and advanced legislation on issues including school choice, immigration enforcement and education. In Congress, he serves on the House Foreign Affairs and Education and Workforce committees.

Fine secured the Republican nomination in August, defeating challengers Aaron Baker, Daniel Bilzerian and Charles Gambaro with approximately 57.6% of the vote. He then faced Yonce, a Florida businessman and community advocate who campaigned on housing affordability, coastal development and immigration policy.

The race took place in a district that has historically favored Republicans. In the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump carried Florida’s 6th District with approximately 66.5% of the vote, while Republican Mike Waltz defeated his Democratic challenger by a similar margin.

Campaign finance figures also showed a significant fundraising advantage for Fine. Through October 14, Fine’s campaign had raised approximately $4.6 million, compared with roughly $619,000 for Yonce.

Fine’s reelection keeps the 6th District in Republican hands and secures another term in Congress for the incumbent as lawmakers prepare for the next session.
