Blue Lives Matter has withdrawn its invitation to country singer Jelly Roll for the Second Annual Big Blue Bash fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.

The organization announced the decision on September 4, stating it had made a mistake by inviting the artist in April for the November 17 event, which benefits the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Foundation. Kyle S. Reyes, owner of the group, posted that the organization was "DONE" and Jelly Roll was "FIRED."

The move followed Jelly Roll's guest hosting stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live! from August 24 to 27. During monologues, the singer mocked President Donald Trump and told supporters of the president that he did not want them as fans and that they should stop listening to his music if they disagreed with his views.

In its statement, Blue Lives Matter noted the event's theme of American Superheroes and listed attendees including Lou Ferrigno, Dean Cain, and Kevin Sorbo. The group replaced Jelly Roll with country singer Coffey Anderson, describing him as a "TRUE PATRIOT."

Jelly Roll's comments drew significant backlash from fans who had viewed him as aligned with conservative values. Reports indicated he lost hundreds of thousands of social media followers in the days after the appearances.

The fundraiser supports families of wounded and fallen officers and features heads of federal law enforcement agencies, sheriffs, and police chiefs.
