Fox News Media announced Thursday that longtime anchor Maria Bartiromo is no longer with the company, effective immediately.

The network issued a brief statement thanking Bartiromo for her work. "We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter," Fox News Media said.

Bartiromo joined Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel in 2014 after leaving CNBC. She hosted "Mornings with Maria" weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m. ET on FBN and the weekly "Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street" on Friday evenings. She also anchored "Sunday Morning Futures" on Fox News Channel.

Her final episode of "Mornings with Maria" aired Thursday morning. The program will transition to "Mornings with FOX Business" beginning Friday with rotating anchors. "Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street" will shift to "FBN’s Wall Street," hosted this week by Cheryl Casone and by rotating anchors thereafter.

Fox News Channel’s "Sunday Morning Futures" will be hosted by Jason Chaffetz this Sunday, with a new permanent host to be announced later. The network said a new weekday programming schedule for FBN will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Bartiromo had been off the air since early August. No reason was provided for the departure. Speculation that she might join the Trump administration was denied by sources.

The move comes amid Fox News Media's continued dominance in cable news ratings. The announcement drew comparisons to the network's abrupt parting with Tucker Carlson in 2023.
