Pro-Israel radio host Sid Rosenberg emerged from a private White House meeting with Vice President JD Vance Thursday, saying he had a much more positive view of the vice president after their roughly 30-minute conversation. Rosenberg had previously criticized Vance over his positions on Israel and his relationship with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson.

Rosenberg, host of “Sid & Friends in the Morning” on 77 WABC, said he spent much of the meeting talking while Vance listened and laughed. “I leave this meeting today feeling like I can work with this guy,” Rosenberg said afterward. “We can work with this guy, and he is willing to listen.”

Before the meeting, Rosenberg had said he planned to press Vance over Israel and his relationship with Carlson. He had argued that Vance needed to address concerns among Jewish conservatives and had previously said he preferred Secretary of State and Acting National Security Adviser Marco Rubio as a potential 2028 Republican presidential candidate.

Rosenberg also questioned whether Vance was sufficiently supportive of Israel, saying before the meeting that the issue could pose a problem for the vice president among Jewish voters and Trump supporters. Vance's office said the meeting was arranged after the vice president had been unable to meet Rosenberg at a Republican Jewish Coalition event in Las Vegas.

After the meeting, however, Rosenberg said he believed Vance was willing to listen and that he expected the two could have additional conversations. He also said he was convinced that Vance does not “hate Israel,” while emphasizing that support for Israel remains an important issue for him and other Jewish conservatives.

Rosenberg also met with President Donald Trump during his White House visit. In a post on X, he described his meeting with Vance as “great” and said he enjoyed the opportunity to get to know the vice president. He did not disclose details of his private discussion with Vance.
